Yes. With the monitor detached, the 26-inch-wide unit fits through a standard 32-inch doorway so it can move between rooms and storage areas.

The operating footprint is 26 inches wide × 39 inches long. Overall height is 82 inches with the monitor attached and 78 inches with the monitor detached. Storage dimensions are 26 inches wide × 39 inches long × 33 inches high. The system weighs approximately 225 lb with sand in place.

The system uses 6-inch industrial caster wheels and includes storage for the head unit, computer, and accessories. It is delivered fully assembled and fits through a standard 32-inch doorway with the monitor detached.

The published feature list includes the projector, 24-inch monitor and protective case, wireless keyboard and case, computer with security mounting, 24 × 36 sand bed, white silica-free play sand with storage buckets, aluminum frame, caster wheels, component storage, and general operation instructions. The original Augmented Reality Sandbox algorithms and open-source software were developed through the UC Davis W.M. Keck Center for Active Visualization in the Earth Sciences (KeckCAVES), with National Science Foundation support under Grant No. DRL 1114663. OCS Fabrication independently manufactures its Mobile AR Sandbox hardware; no UC Davis endorsement or sponsorship is implied.

Yes. Use the Request a School Quote form to share your organization, quantity, desired timeframe, and funding method. Formal quotes are valid for 60 days.

Yes. OCS Fabrication accepts school purchase orders subject to approval and can provide a W-9 and vendor-registration paperwork. Schools requesting tax-exempt treatment should provide a tax-exemption certificate. Payment is required before production unless an approved purchase order is accepted. Check and credit card are accepted.

Shipping is available within the contiguous 48 United States only and is quoted separately. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii. OCS Fabrication delivers within approximately two hours of Duluth, Minnesota; other destinations are normally served by FedEx Freight. Customers should state their delivery and unloading needs for an accurate quote. Normal lead time is 3–4 weeks, with faster fulfillment sometimes available depending on inventory and options ordered.

A six-month warranty covers manufacturing defects in OCS Fabrication’s fabrication work and excludes damage from misuse, unauthorized modifications, and normal wear. Email nick@ocsfabrication.com with your name, a description of the issue, and a callback number for assistance. Replacement parts can be purchased; some may require manufacturer installation for final adjustment and calibration. Customers normally pay service shipping and travel costs, although OCS Fabrication may grant exceptions during the warranty period at its discretion.
